Ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury of liver occurs in a number of clinical settings, including hepatic resectioanal surgery, liver transplantation and hemorrhagic shock. Various mechanisms have been implicated in liver I/R injury, including reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, activation of kupffer cells, neutrophil infiltration and cytokine production
