In this work, we first introduce and investigate the notions of semi - spray and nonlinear connection associated with a given regular connection, on the pullback bundle . New intrinsic (coordinate - free) proofs of intrinsic versions of the existence and uniqueness theorems for the fundamental regular connection on the pullback bundle of a finsler manifold (M , L)namely the Cartan , Berwald , Chern and Hashiguchi connections, are established
