Premature rupture of membranes is defined as rupture of the fetal membranes before the onset of labour irrespective of gestational age . The false diagnosis of membranes rupture can lead to inappropriate intervention so it is important to achieve accurate diagnosis by identifying the presence of specific amniotic fluid markers in vaginal enviroment
