Patients with chronic lower limb ischemia who had undergone infrainguinal bypass surgery are liable to serious complications that may lead to limb lossSo , the aim of the study was to examine the impact of a designed nursing care protocol on incidence of postoperative complications among chronic lower limb ischemic patients undergoing revascularization (infrainguinal bypass surgery) A quasi - experimental design was usedThe sample recruited in the study was adult male and female patients admitted to general and vascular surgical wards at El Manial University HospitalA designed nursing care protocol was implemented for the study groupThree tools were utilized to collect data : sociodemographic , risk factors assessment data sheets and surgical patient assessment data sheetThe study revealed that highly statistically significant differences were found between the control and the study groups placed on training programs for nurses for providing proper perioperative management and establishing protocols for early detection of graft failure and the need for intervention
