Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutics Summary: Ocular solutions for sustaining the delivery of lomefloxacin hydrochloride were prepared using chitosan, carboxymethylcellulose, pluronic F-127 and pluronicF-68. Effect of different tonicity adjusting agents like glycerol, prpylene glycol, NaCl and KCI was also studied. Ocuserts were also prepared. Three polymeric materials were tried, chitosan, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcogol
