Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - National Institute of Laser - Department of Laser Application in Medical and Biological Summary: Aim of the work we intended in this work to study and compare the reactivating power of two different types of lasers on latent herpes virus . We inoculated bovine herpes virus (BHV) either into the nasal cavity or the eye of experimental animals (rabbits) . Once the virus entered into latency we directly exposed the trigeminal ganglia of herpes infected animal models to either CO₂ laser or diode laser
