Various studies have been conducted to elucidate the nature of TMD and its causes . However it is still unclear whether malocclusion is a cause of or only a predisposing factor in TMD . The aim of this study was to evaluate the TMJ by magnetic resonance imaging modality in patients having TMD and correlate the findings to their skeletal classes of occlusion
