This study investigated the effectiveness of a teaching model for developing the listening comprehension of TOEFL students through the systematic construction or activation of prior knowledge across a graded continuum which moves from the simplest to the most difficult . The study is mainly experimental ; Pre - test and the post - test were administered to the experimental group consisting of (20 students) and the control group consisting of (14 students)
