This thesis deals with the synthesis of new calcium channel blockers with tetrahydroprimidinone and dihydropyridine skeletons and testing their antihyperetensive activities. It included the discussion of the experimental methods adopted for the synthesis of the designed compounds as well as the different spectral and analytical methods applied for the characterization of the new compounds in four schemes for the preparation of the target compounds
