The present investigation found that the causal agent of early blight disease on potato fields of Elbehaira governorate was A. alternata (It's the first record in Egypt ) . The survey on the disease propagation explores that least infection (17.6% ) was with Sentana cultivar at summer and highest infection (36.6 - 56% ) was with Dimonta cultivars at winter
