Among 40 fungal isolates (isolated from different locations from Egyptian soil) three of them (No. 14,25 and 29) were found to produce higest levels of FOS as detected by PC and TLC using factorial design with two steps of optimization the results showed that the isolate No . 14 (later identified as penicillium aurantiogriseum)was the most potent fungal isolate that gave highest activites of F Tase enzyme
