Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Agronomy Summary: A study was designed to ascertain a suitable planting desity for three sugarcane varieties; Phil 8013 G. 98 - 28 and G. 99 - 103 . The main commerial varity G. T. 54 - 9 was used as a check . Two plant were planted at Mallawi Research Station Elminia governorate , Egypt during 2005 / 2006 and 2006 / 2007 seasons . A split split - plot design was used for both experiments with four replications
