Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Neurosurgery Summary: The neuronavigation is a new tool used intraoperativly guring neurosurgical operations . It helps the surgeon to navigate in the brain and reach lesions with minimal destruction to the surrounding neural tissue . This will be of great importance if the lesion is deep or present in eloquent areas of the brain responsible for movement speech vision and sensation causing severe morbidity to the patient postoperatively
