Human leukocyte antigens play an important in the outcome of HCV infection . We investigated whether HLA class II alleles influence the susceptibility to HCV infection or the response to interferon treatment in Egyptian patients . Sixty two patients with chronic HCV infection were treated with combined treatment of inferferon and ribavirin nineteen healthy controls were involved
