Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Dermatology and Venerology Summary: Photoaged skin shows additional damage than the aged skin which is not exposed to sun such as dyspigmentation and telangectasia it was also found to be more prone to cutaneous malignancies that 's because UVR is a powerful source of ROS in the skin . Combined topical application of sunscreen and antioxidants was shown to be more effective than the application of sunscreens alone also combined oral and topical applicationof antioxidants was shown to be useful in prevention of photoaging of the skin
