Forty tissue samples including liver, spleen, thymus, bursa of fabricius and bone marrow were collected from 40 flocks suspected to be infected with CAV. Each sample was subjected to DNA extraction followed by PCR using two primer sets, the first represent the VPI gene and the second represent the VP3 gene
