Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: The horizontal bone resorption led to induction of higher stress values which increases with the resorption depth that of the standard model. As horizontal bone resorption progresses, the increasing stresses induced in the cancellous bone and implant under lateral load raise the risk of failure. The vertical angular bone resorption shows the lowest maximum equivelant stress value with increasing the resorption depth as it is more relatively stable, than the standard and H resorption models
