Three known tannin compounds were isolated for the first time from the acetone extract of the seeds of Cassia brewsteri (F. Muell.) Benth., Family Fabaceae and were identified by chemical and spectroscopic examination as epiafzelechin - (4ß{u2192}8, 2ß{u2192}, O{u2192}7) - afzelechin (geranin A) ,(-) - epiafzelechin and guibourtinidol- (4ß{u2192}8)- epiafzelechin
