The results showed that ureteroscopy is preferable than SWL in terms of stone free rate radiation exposure procedure time hospital stay ( SWL need repeated sessions ) in addition to more follow up visits required for SWL versus fewer follow up visits needed for ureteroscopy while both modalities had nearly the same complications
