The study was conducted to investigate which was more effective in increasing a muscle torque and in decreasing muscle soreness? Thirty healthy female physical therapy student participated in this study , group I (n=15 female subjects) had their non dominant quadriceps femoris muscle stimulated with Russian current for ten minutes while group II stimulated with low frequency currentThe isometric torque of the quadriceps was evaluated before and after trainingMuscle soreness was evaluated after 48 hoursThe results revealed that there was no significant difference between the two groups in quadriceps muscle torqueAlso there was a significant difference between the two groups in muscle soreness
