Nine primiparous buffaloes were used in the present study. They were divided into three equal groups, three of each. These groups were Gl, that lactated more than 9 mont; G2, that lactated less than 7 mon. and G3, the group that did not lactate. The obtained results showed that the lactation period was longer in G1 than that in G2 (285 vs. 156 days), however, the daily milk yield showed the opposite trend
