The pathogenesis of the problem is not addressed enough in literature. It is almost always secondary to trauma. The response of different structures of the nasal dorsum to trauma is different according to the nature of these structures. Nasal bones yield to trauma in the form of fracture. Fracture can be either unilateral inward fracture, or in-fractured bone and out-fractured other or total displacement of the nasal root
