Permutation polynomials over finite fields have many applications in cryptography and coding theory . The work in this thesis covers two types of permutation polynomials over FÜ . The first comes from any perfect nonlinear function f over FÜ which has many applications in stream and block ciphers authentication codes and coding theory . Here we study the permutations of the form {u2206}f (x) = f (x + Ü) - f (x) , Ü {u2208} F* Ü
