Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Nursing - Department of Nurding Services Administration Summary: The purpose of this study was to assess the perception of staff nurses role in the presence of unlicensed nurse - aid . The study sample included all staff nurses ( 177 ) and head nurses ( 29 ) working in paid and free of charge inpatient unit , emergency unit and Intensive care units . Data of the present study were collected using questionnaire sheet developed by the investigator based on nurse's job description guided by the literature ( Barter and McLaughlin and Thomas 1997 , Hebashy 2004 and Fathe 2006 ) after it had been validated by experts from Faculty of Nursing
