Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Veterinary Pharmacology Summary: Some toxicolgical and pharmacological studies were carried out on hypericum perforatum which is commonly used in folk medicine . The aquoeus and ethanolic extracts caused no mortalities till 5000 mg/kg b. wt . in mice , both extracts showed significant anti - inflammatory , analgesic and diurefic effect , but didn't show antipyretic effect
