Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Animal Diseases Summary: The in - ovo infection with Aeromonas hydrophila was investigated . Sexty ECE at 18 days hatching were dipped in a suspension containing 6 x 10⁹ viable bacterial cells per m1 and twenty five eggs were left as a control . Dead embryos were necropsied and examined for reisolation . The hatched chicks were kept till the 21 days old under observation to study the clinical signs mortality rate body weight and reisolation from several organs of dead chicks and histopathological examination after 21 days old chicks were sacrificed to re - isolate the organism from several organs
