Regarding the results of studies on S. incanum L. seven phenolic compounds which are kaempferol 3 , 7 O Ý - diglucopyranoside (1) quercetin 3 - O - Ý - glucopyranoside [isoquercitrin] (2) quercetin 3 - O - Ý - galactopyranoide (3)quercetin 7 - O - Ý - glucopyranoside (4) caffeic acid (Dihydroxy cinnamic acid) (5) , 5- (3''-(3' , 4 ' - dihydroxyphenyl) acryloyloxy) 2,3,4 - Trihydroxypentanoic acid [5 - caffeoy 1 -2,3,4 - trihydroxypentanoic acid] (6) and quercetin (7)were isolated for the first time from the pericarp of the plant
