In the present investigation, the possible hepatoprotective effects of curcumin and liquorice were studied in comparison to diclofenac sodium. Hepatotoxicity was induced by two models, CCI₄-induced hepatotoxicity and liver ischemia/reperfusion (IR) induced-insults. In the CCI₄ model, rats were orally administered CCI₄ (1m1/kg of 1:1 CCI₄ and olive oil) every other day for 8 weeks
