Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biochemistry Summary: In this study the serum levels of arginase (ARG) activity, alpha 1 -antitrypsin (AAT), and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) concentrations were evaluated in 90 male subjects classified as 20 healthy subjects that comprised the control group, 20 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and 50 with hepatitis C virus (HCV) (who were subdivided into 25 non-viremic and 25 virmic subjects)
