Colorectal carcinomas affect Egyptian patients at a young age, with advanced stage at presentation. Patients with rectal carcinomas were younger than colonic carcinomas and had more risk of suboptimal distal surgical margin. Colorectal carcinomas affecting our patients has an aggressive pathological behavior, with different patterns of recurrence and metastasis than those described in western literature
