Congenital dyslipidaemias are generally grouped into disorders leading to hypercholesterolaemia, hypertriglyceridaemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Dyslipidemia can alter vascular endothelial function and impair some of its pro-fibrinolytic and anti-thrombotic regulatory properties, as well as initiate the atherosclerotic process
