The retina was investigated by the electro retino gram (ERG), the optical coherence tomography (OCT), and light microscopy. The effects on the lens were investigated by fourier transform infra red (FTIR) spectroscopy, and the vitreal changes were investigated by electron spin resonance (ESR) and ultra violet (UV) spectroscopy
