Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biophysics Summary: This work aims at evaluating the performance of two different treatment planning systems (TPSs), KonRad and XIO. For such purpose both systems are commissioned for intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) according to the AAPM task group 119. The commissioning shows satisfactory results. Twenty pediatric patients, with different types of head and neck cancer, are sclected to participate in the evaluation of the performance of KonRad and XiO TPSs
