By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Hisham Anwer Saleh Mohamed , 2010Description: 87 P. : charts ; 25cmOther title:
  • دراسة الخصائص الطيفية العامة لنبضات الأشعة السينية وأشعة جاما المنبعثة من الماجنيتار SGR 1806 - 20 [Added title page title]
Subject(s): Online resources: Available additional physical forms:
  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Physics Summary: Magnetars are cosmic sources of high energy radiations that emit short, intense bursts of X - rays and T - rays . Studying the spectral and temporal properties of these bursts allows us to identify the physical mechanism responsible for their emission and to probe the interaction of radiation and matter at extreme conditions of tem-perature, gravity, and magnetic field that cannot be reproduced in laboratories or particle accelerators
