This study was carried out in a private orchard, Elbostan district, Cairo Alexandria desert road, Elbehaira Governorate, Egypt, on Williams banana plants ( Musa cavendishii L. ) during the two successive seasons ( 2007 / 2008 and 2008 / 2009 ) . The experimental site represents newly reclaimed sandy soil irrigated by drip irrigation system
