Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of Statistical Studies and Research - Department of Computer and Information Science Summary: The aim of this thesis is to integrate both of fuzzy and rough sets concepts for developing an enhanced methodology for data mining that allows efficient rule extraction of huge databases . In this thesis , a flexible tool has been built to extract rules from large databases using the proppsed approaced . The developed tool enables the user to represent his own fuzzy terms with a graphical user interface and to extract the zuzzy rules corresponding to such fuzzy terms
