Capsulorhexis with or without anterior vitrectomy and with or without optic capture, or epilenticular IOL implantation with pars plana lensectomy whereas opinions vary as to what age the technique of primary posterior capsulectomy and anterior vitrectomy should be replaced by the approach commonly used in older children and adults, of leaving the posterior capsule intact and using the Nd:YAG laser when required after surgery
