H5N1 reassortant inactivated (H5N1 subtype, Egy/PR8-1 strain) and H5N2 inactivated (A/Chicken/Mexico/232/94/CPA H5N2) vaccines were compared in their ability to protection and reduce virus shedding after challenge with challenge doses 10⁵ and 10⁶ EID₅₀ of cach isolate
