Lichen planus is an infammatory disease of skin and oral mucosa.E vidence has accumulated that cytotoxic CD8+ve T lymphocyte recognize an antigen on lesional keratinocytes and lyse them.Studies suggested that type I interferons could play an important role in cytotoxic of several interferon induced proteins including myxxxxxxxxovirus resistance peotein A (MxA protein)
