Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Clinical and Chemical Pathology Summary: Aim : The current case - control study aimed at detecting the frequency of IL (VNTR intron 3 ) and IL-10 (-627) genes polymorphism in Egyptian children with ITP as genetic markers for ITP risk and to clear out their possible role in the pathogenesis of ITP . Our study suggests the possiblity that IL - 4 and IL -10 genes polymorphism may contribute to the susceptiblity of development of ITP in Egyptian children

Aim : The current case - control study aimed at detecting the frequency of IL (VNTR intron 3 ) and IL-10 (-627) genes polymorphism in Egyptian children with ITP as genetic markers for ITP risk and to clear out their possible role in the pathogenesis of ITP .
