Two hundred and forty anonymous sound molars being extracted for periodontal reasons were used for this study. Occlusal enamel was completely removed to expose flat dentin surface. The samples were divided into five groups n= 48. The first group acted as a control group, the second and the third group was treated by two chemically different dentin desensitizers (S1: containing potassium nitrate, sodium fluoride and HEMA- S2: composed mainly of sodium fluoride
