Most patients with suspected pulmonary hypertention will undergo computed tomography (CT) as part of their diagnostic work-up. And unlike other tests, CT is capable of portraying various parts of the pulmonary vasculature starting with the right ventricle and main pulmonary artery, extending out to the peripheral PAs and pulmonary parenchyma, the evolution of multidetector CT machines resulted in increase in the overall accuracy of CT in the diagnosis of pulmonary vascular disorders with improved spatial resolution
