Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: The aim of the present study is to evaluate the effect of topical fluoride application on color , surface roughness , flexural strength and surface topgraphy of auto - glazed , over - glazed and polished porcelain restorations . All porcelain specimens treated with this fluoride gel revealed a hazy glossy appearance on visual inspection . SEM micrographs of the corroded specimens show a similar grainy surface with areas of selected pitting
