The outcome of patients with Acute leukemia depend on several prognostic parameters such as the Age, white blood cell count, cytogenetic and minimal residual disease detection ( MRD ) . Measuring minimal residual disease at several time points during the course of treatment using the flow cytometer comparing the results with other predictive factors reveals that the MRD detection is the independent prognostic factor that could predict the response to treatment and the subsequent relapse
