The prominence of esthetic in dentistry has emphasized the need for dental restorations that have a combination of high strength, suitable fit and acceptable esthetics. Despite that porcelain fused to metal crowns offered excellent strength, they lacked the natural appearance due to metal backing of porcelain. In certain clinical situations translucent esthetic restorations are required
