Power transformer remains oil immersed, which becomes a serious factor to prevent through compact installation. Moreover, being filled with hydro carbon fluid, it presents a fire hazard. The installation of an oil-filled power transformer in building is held to increase the fire risk. So, oil retaining walls often have to be built round the transformer, or the transformer has to be removed from the building
