Pediatric pacemaker implants comprise {u02C2} 1% of all pacemaker implants . Pacemaker therapy in children involves unique issues regarding patient size growth development and possible presence of congenital heart disease . Between January 2001 and December 2010, 91 pediatric patients (mean age 3.2 (± 2.4) years range 16 days - 12 years mean body weight 13.25 kg (±6kg)ranging from 3 to 42kg) underwent permanent pacemaker implantion in the specialized children's hospital of Cairo University
