Solution copolymerization technique has been used to prepare different acrylic copolymers depend on the following monomers (methy1 methacrylate, butyl acrylate, 2-ethyl hexylacrylate, 2-methoxy ethylacrylate, acrylic acid. These copolymers had been modified to having a copper ester bond at the end portions of the pendent chains to be capable of gradually hydrolyzed and dissolve in seawater at appropriate rate
