Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Oral-Radiology and Diagnosis Summary: Several grafting materials and barrier membranes had been employed in the GBR procedures. Alloplast bone grafts such as Ý-TCP in combination with collagen membranes had been found to be effective, compatible with host tissues and elicited no adnerse reactions. The aim of the present study was to compare the effect of guided bone regeneration using collagen barrier membrane combined with alloplastic bone graft (Ý-tricalcium phosphate) to the alloplast alone as a treatment modality for alveolar ridge augmentation
