One of the widespread in - situ walls is the diaphragm wall which provides structural support and water tightness . It is the most proper technique for many deep excavation projects and large civil engineering works which require the utmost care for limiting of wall and ground surface movements . The principal objective of this reearch is to study the effects of soil type and vertical support spacing on the behavior of diaphragm wall and surrounding soil using different stiffnesses of the wall
